Rehabilitation
Responding to times of crisis and adversity, rehabilitation programs provide immediate and sustained support for communities. Efforts are dedicated to aiding recovery, rebuilding, and strengthening resilience in affected populations.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan, a socially responsible role was maintained over four months of high pandemic and lockdown situations. Support encompassed critical activities such as:
- Ration Distribution: Essential food supplies and beverages were distributed to deserving and affected communities.
- Medical Supplies: Essential medical equipment, including PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) and masks, was provided to various hospitals and the National Disaster Management Authority (Government of Pakistan).
- Community Support: General support for community well-being and healthy activities was extended as needed, wherever required.
Earthquake 2005: In response to the devastating 2005 earthquake, comprehensive relief activities were initiated:
- A Tent Village was established in Muzaffarabad, providing shelter for 1,500 people.
- Dry food was distributed to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
- An advanced water supply system was installed, in partnership with Caritas.
